How is my degree classification calculated?

Classification of the honours degree is based on the:

  • Best 105 credits of the 120 studied at level 5, single-weighted, and the:
  • Best 105 credits of the 120 studied at level 6, triple-weighted.

Can I do a Master’s Degree now?

Students who have successfully completed their undergraduate degree may be eligible for a 20% discount on their tuition fee if they continue to study with us. For more information on the programmes you may study, take a look here.. We could see you again in September!

How do I join DMU for Life?

As a DMU graduate, you are eligible to join our DMU for Life network. It is free to join and you can access information on job vacancies, support for interviews and general information on our excellent Alumni Network. Click here to join.

How long do I have access to my University emails?

You will have access to your DMU email account for life. The only difference will be that, instead of being pnumber@my365.dmu.ac.uk, your email will change to pnumber@alumni365.dmu.ac.uk

Will I still have access to my learning materials after graduation?

You will lose access to your Learningzone and MyDMU accounts two months after your registration ends with the University. For most students this means that you will lose your account access in August.

If you have any materials on Learningzone or MyDMU which you would like to keep, please make sure you download these before you lose access.

I have resits to do. Will this affect my graduation?

Unfortunately, yes. Resits will be completed either during the summer or the next academic year, and you will receive your results too late to join the summer graduation ceremony. Only students who have completed their award by July are eligible to attend the summer graduation.

I need an Award Letter. How do I get this?

Your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR), which will be made available to you approximately one week after you receive your results, acts as both a transcript AND an award letter, as it includes your overall grade.
