Change of Programme Requests 2023/24

A student may request to change programme for the current academic year by the end of week 2: Friday 13th October 2023

A student may make a mid-year request to change programme for the next academic year but this will result in a Leave of Absence (a suspension of studies for the remainder of the current academic year). Mid-year requests must be received prior to Friday 15th June 2024   

A student may request to change programme for the next academic year at the end of a level of study (i.e. after results are released), subject to meeting the requirements of the regulations (e.g. passing the year). These requests should be made by Monday 18th September 2024.

How do I request to change my programme? 

To request a change of programme, you will need to complete the above form. The form needs to be signed by the accepting Programme Leader and returned to cemadvicecentre@dmu.ac.uk with the subject heading Change of Programme Request.

How will I be notified of the decision? 

If the change is approved, the Faculty Office will notify you and process it on the system.  

How long will it take for the programme change to go through? 

We endeavour for the change to take place within 7 working days from receiving your form, subject to approval.    

Please Note:  It is your responsibility to complete all required sections of the form, any sections left incomplete may result in a delay with processing your request.. At the start of term we are inundated with requests and although we aim to process requests within 7 working days there may be a slight delay, which we apologise for and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
